Happy Tails Update: Alester

We found Alester (fka Brooks) when we were just starting to look for a new dog, after having lost my 12 year old terrier to cancer a few months prior. We knew it was meant to be as soon as we found out he was being fostered in our small town! One visit with him and we had to have him. Holly’s Story


Meet Holly!  This gorgeous mama was also rescued after having many litters on the streets of East St. Louis.  Rescuers, Jennifer and Paul came across Holly on their daily commutes through the area.  Once it was realized that she had puppies in an abandoned home, they had to act.  After an all-day rescuing extravaganza, Holly and her eight puppies were rescued!

Francesca’s Story


Meet Francesca! Franny is a long-time resident of Gateway Pet Guardians. This adorable girl was rescued after she had puppies a little over a year ago in East St. Louis. Franny and her puppies were living in woods behind a concerned citizen’s home. Rescuers quickly rescued the puppies and were able to trap mama.
