Meet Alley, An Adoptable Dog in St. Louis

Meet Monday’s Foster Dog, a German Shepherd mix named Alley. Alley is a sweet girl who was rescued along with her sister, Bunkum. She is spayed and up to date with her shots. She did have a previous case of mange, but has been recovering nicely. Her beautiful coat will fill out in no time. She is such a pretty girl already though!

Alley may be young, but she is one smart dog! S…

Happy Tails Update: Spike (Formerly Corduroy)

Hi, my name is Spike (Corduroy). I used to live outside in the cold. My brothers and all but one sister died out there. Now I have adopted humans who love me. I almost have them trained. I let my Mom & Dad think that they are teaching me to potty outside, to sit, stay, and lay down, but really I’m training them. They are coming along really well, but I’m still trying to get them to let u…

Featured Freedom Ride: Bode is up for Adoption

This incredibly adorable puppy is Bode, which is pronounced Bo-dee. He’s being fostered by our Foster Coordinator, Abby. She’s a matchmaker, in a way, as she pairs a dog with the best foster home that fits it’s needs. She was waiting for the right dog for her and Lucy, a beautiful Terrier mix she adopted from us as a puppy last year.

Along came Bode, rescued from the Euthanasia List at…

Good Times Had by All at Les Boondoggle Ball

Our first Les Boondoggle Ball held at Old Rock House was  a smash hit! Guests enjoyed great Mardi Gras themed food, the musical stylings of the Who coverband “The Who Band” and a few 90s throwback rock hits from “The VCRs”.   Oh My Gosh Josh Routh of Circus Kaput swallowed swords, juggled, balanced things on his head and even took a bowling ball to the stomach.  And of course, the highlight…
