Community Outreach in East St. Louis

Help us Reach our Goal of No More Homeless Pets

Gateway Pet Guardians focuses on community outreach in East St. Louis and surrounding areas, providing shelter and food for East St. Louis residents and those in the surrounding area.  We hold dog house drives several times a year so that we can provide shelter to pet owners in the Metro East who can’t afford to buy a dog house for their pet or who don’t currently have adequate shelter.

Our outreach efforts are especially important during extreme cold and heat.  In addition to providing shelter, we also distribute straw and blankets to keep dogs warm during the winter and partner with Bi-State Pet Food Pantry to give pet food to low-income households in our service area.

  • Sponsor two dog houses. Your $125 donation will allow us to give homes to two dogs in the community. During extreme weather, dogs are left outdoors, many times with inadequate shelter. This will ensure shelter during unfavorable weather conditions.
  • Sponsor 170 dog houses. Your $8,500 donation will allow us to shelter 170 dogs in the community! Your logo will be included on each house.
