Friday’s Foster Dog: Meet Mr. Happy, an adoptable dog in St. Louis! At only two years old, this Pit Bull Terrier mix has already made a name for himself both on the streets and in his foster home. As a regular on the feeding route, he was named for his bubbly personality and consistently optimistic view of life. When an injury made his rescue critical, he was taken in and nursed back to health before being placed with his current foster family.
He is a medium sized guy who has already reached his full growth potential and cherishes every single day he has with his loving foster family. They take every opportunity to spoil him and he never hesitates to take it all in. He’s great on a leash and gets excited whenever his family gets it out. Mr. Happy is a real people person. Wherever his family is is where he wants to be. His family reports he doesn’t have a ton of energy like others dogs his age. If you asked them to describe Mr. Happy in one word they would say: “perfect”.
Even though he is so young, his foster family says he is an old soul. He’s young enough to spend many wonderful and exciting years with, but old enough, and wise enough, that you can leave him at home alone. He’s a real cuddle bug and loves to snuggle on the couch with his foster family. But be forewarned. He’s a snorer! Mr. Happy is happiest when he is around his family: cuddling, snuggling, and laying on the couch. He’s always ready to rest and is content with himself and does not need to be entertained. When play time does come around, he can be found romping around the backyard with his foster sister (an adorable pit bull). He’s is a sweetheart who just wants a forever family of his own.
