Saint Louis, MO, March 5, 2013 – Gateway Pet Guardians, a local nonprofit animal rescue focused in the Metro East, is expanding it’s board of directors.  The organization welcomed three new members to their first meeting of the year.

Jen Fuhrman began volunteering with Gateway Pet Guardians in the summer of 2012. She channels her career experience in corporate advertising with her passion for animals rights into  the Gateway Pet Guardians Board and is a regular contributor to the Gateway Pet Gazette, our regular newsletter, as well as volunteering at the shelter and serving on the Public Relations and Marketing Committees. She lives in South City with her husband Justin and their two boxers, Stella and Sonny.

Dr. Ed Migneco, DVM is highly involved in the St. Louis animal community and owner of Hillside Animal Hospital. Dr. Ed serves as an adviser and board member to several local organizations and associations including the St. Louis Pet Lover’s Coalition and Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. He also donated the building standing next to his veterinary practice to Gateway Pet Guardians and it is now known as the Gateway Pet Guardians Emergency Shelter.

Paul Galanti

Paul Galanti is personal trainer and small business owner from Belleville, IL. After spending time fostering 50 dogs with his wife, Jen,  in 2012, he has chosen to spend his energy helping the board 0f Gateway Pet Guardians further develop the organization.  Paul has a BS in Education from Eastern Illinois University.  Paul has three grown children and 3 dogs.
