Our first Les Boondoggle Ball held at Old Rock House was  a smash hit! Guests enjoyed great Mardi Gras themed food, the musical stylings of the Who coverband “The Who Band” and a few 90s throwback rock hits from “The VCRs”.   Oh My Gosh Josh Routh of Circus Kaput swallowed swords, juggled, balanced things on his head and even took a bowling ball to the stomach.  And of course, the highlight of the evening was the pooch promenade.

Our celebrity judges Julie Tristain, Jeremy Veach, his dog Norm and local doggy social media star Scooter the dog had their work cut out for them.  The costumes the contestants came up with were spectacular!

Les Boondoggle Ball originated in the home of GPG supporter and adopter Rick Spiekerman three years ago as a way to raise money for Gateway. Over the years it has outgrown his home so this year we decided to move it to a larger venue.  We thank Rick for his continued support of our organization and hope everyone had a great time!  Les Boondoggle Ball has traditionally been held the Friday before Mardi Gras each year, so mark your calendar’s for next year’s extravaganza!  Thanks to David Carlyon of Darkwood Studios for the amazing photos. You can see the rest in the album below.
