Friday’s Foster Dog: Meet Buck, an adoptable dog in St. Louis! Buck was pulled from St Clair County animal control after his 7 day stray hold. He’s a wonderful companion with plenty of energy who is really enjoying his new “leash” on life. He’s house trained and has no problem with crates as long as a bone is involved. His favorite treats are marrow bones and Kongs filled with sweet potato. In fact, he’s so laid back he often eats his food while laying down.
This sweetie loves to play with other dogs and is a perfect companion for humans and dogs alike. He is okay with cats but some supervision is necessary as he likes to chase them from time to time. Likewise, he’s great with children, but some guidance is necessary. He enjoys children of all ages but, like a lot of dogs his size, doesn’t realize just how big he is and could unwittingly knock smaller children over.
Buck is a lover, definitely not a fighter. His clumsy nature and loveable disposition makes him an ideal family pet. A large active family with other canine companions would be a perfect fit. Even though he is full-grown he still has plenty of energy to go around and loves to play. He’s friendly and working on his listening skills as well as honing his talents at walking on a leash.
