Meet Buddha, An Adoptable Dog in St. Louis

This Monday we are featuring a handsome boy who is currently at our shelter. He’s a Pit Bull Terrier Mix named Buddha. Buddha has been at the shelter since the end of February and he can’t wait to get out. He was on the euthanasia list at the St. Clair County Animal Control and GPG gave him a second chance at life. He is neutered, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on his shots.

Buddha is about a year old and still has a lot of that puppy energy. He’s very playful and is always a happy fella. He hasn’t had much interaction with other dogs since the dogs are kept separated at the shelter. However, he loves people. Upon meeting him you are guaranteed to get lots of hugs and kisses. He likes to sit on laps and snuggle up against our shelter volunteers.

Buddha is treat oriented and easy to train. He was able to pick up the sit command quickly and even knows how to ‘dance’. Buddha is good about coming over when called upon. He’ll come trotting over with his tail wagging. Buddha will need to be leash-trained, but he does wonderfully on a harness. He is good about being accident-free in his kennel.

Look at those big beautiful brown eyes! Buddha has a gorgeous coat. Not only is his coat beautiful, but it is so soft and smooth to the touch. He is medium built and is in great shape!
