Meet Rigazzi, an adoptable puppy in St. Louis! Rigazzi is an adorable 12 week old Terrier Mix. This playful guy is just a little firecracker right now, but he is bound to be a pretty big boy when he grows up! At his last veterinary appointment when he was 11 weeks old he weighed over 18 pounds and he is continuing to grow quickly! He is up to date on his shots and will be neutered and ready for adoption within a week or two.
Rigazzi was rescued from another home with his two brothers. When he was rescued he had a very bad case of worms, causing his little belly to swell considerably, but since having the worms treated he is doing much better.
Rigazzi plays and loves hard, just like a puppy should. While he loves all of his toys, he also enjoys having some time to just cuddle and relax with his foster family too. His foster family says that he loves to go on play dates with other dogs, but as he is just learning, he often likes to be the one in charge. They are working on continuing to socialize him with people and dogs.
While Rigazzi’s energy level is high right now, he is learning to become both house and crate trained. He is really hoping to find a patient, loving family that will continue to take him to obedience classes and further polish up his manners as he grows. Rigazzi needs a forever home where he can get regular exercise and socialization so he can appropriately use his high energy. At this point Rigazzi would likely do better in a setting with no cats or children so he can focus on learning how to control his playfulness and energy. However, as he is still a puppy, he is highly trainable and will continue to learn in new environments.
Rigazzi has a lot of love to give to a patient new family. He loves to snuggle close to his foster mom’s head when he settles down to rest at the end of the day and he cannot wait to do that with his forever family.
